Mr. Tore Boeckmann

Tore Boeckmann is a writer living in Norway. He edited Ayn Rand's The Art of Fiction and has written on her literary esthetics for The Intellectual Activist. His mystery fiction has been published in Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine and has been anthologized in several languages.

The Principle of Drama

This lecture identifies the principle underlying the phenomenon of drama, or dramatic action, and integrates this principle with Ayn Rand's theory of evaluation (specifically her idea of "teleological measurement"). The lecture explains why certain human actions (dramatic ones) are worthy objects of esthetic contemplation, and others not.
